Do You See What I See...?

Look closely, very closely!
bIMG_4620
You see it?

As I was watching the beautiful sun set, a runner approached me to tell me she'd seen several deer between the dunes. I figured they were long gone...but I was very wrong! I even had time to run upstairs (2 flights!) and get my zoom lens. The bad news? The humidity was so thick that my lens kept fogging up!

I think this buck sees me...what do you think?
bIMG_4623
I think deer are some of the most graceful creatures.

There they go...!

I hate it that I couldn't get my lens to clear, but at least a few shots came out!

Not to worry, I did not stand in the dunes to get these. There were some open patches next to the house where I found a good view and by this shot, I'd ended up on the beach.

the Atlanta Crew

I was beyond thrilled when Paul's brother, Jay, and sister-in-law, Millie, asked me to take some pictures of them with their precious baby girl, Kira, at some point during our vacation! Little did they know that a few pictures would amount to close to 100 in only 10 minutes!

Here's a small selection of those:

This is my creative outlet. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I currently shoot with a Canon 5D and primarily a 28-75mm 2.8 lens or a 50mm 1.4 lens. I love landscapes, flowers, and architecture; but my ultimate goal is to be able to take great pictures of my little girls. I want to capture the expressions, the quickly fleeting moments, and document the blessings of our amazing God! His mercies are new every morning...

...these are a few of my favorite things.
